Custom Staircases by Raw Creative
From the ground up.
Design assist, fabrication, and installation — we help architects and builders define, price, and build custom staircases early so they don’t become a coordination issue later.

The raw Creative difference
-
We get involved before the stair is fully resolved—helping define the system, align with structure, and establish a clear direction for design and budget.
-
Honest budget ranges and constructability input early, so there are no surprises when it matters most.
-
Steel, wood, hybrid, and fully custom assemblies—fabricated in-house with the precision the work requires.
-
We manage install with the same attention we bring to fabrication—coordinating with structure, trades, and field conditions start to finish.
CUSTOM STAIRCASE FAQS
WHAT KIND OF STAIR SYSTEMS CAN YOU DO?
We design and fabricate custom staircases including mono stringer stairs, plate steel stairs, floating tread systems, and steel + wood hybrids. Most projects are developed as one-off solutions based on the layout, structure, and design intent—not from a standard catalog.
WHAT MATERIALS AND FINISHES DO YOU WORK WITH?
We work with steel, wood, concrete, glass, and mixed-material stair assemblies. Common finishes include painted steel, blackened steel, patina, powder coating, and sealed wood or concrete. Material and finish direction is typically defined early to align with both design intent and constructability.
Do you fabricate and install staircases?
Yes. We handle both stair fabrication and installation. Our team coordinates directly with the GC and site conditions to ensure alignment between structure, fabrication, and field tolerances.
What are typical lead times for a custom staircase?
Lead times vary based on scope and complexity, but most custom stair projects fall within X–X weeks from approved shop drawings. Early engagement helps define accurate timelines and avoid delays.
When should we bring you into a project?
Ideally during early design or design development. This allows us to help define the stair system, align with structure, and provide budget and constructability input before details are locked in. We can also step in later, but early involvement typically leads to better outcomes and fewer revisions.
What does design assist include?
Design assist includes reviewing drawings or concepts, recommending a stair system, developing preliminary details, providing a budget range, and identifying coordination requirements. The goal is to establish a clear, buildable direction before fabrication begins.
